About Us

Locaria is a leading multilingual marketing and linguistic services agency that operates across more than 90 global markets. We blend insights, data, talent, and technology to take global content further for ambitious brands. Locaria is central to the global content solution of Stagwell, the challenger advertising network.

Overview

We are looking for an exceptional Senior DTP/3D Designer to join our European design team. Working across some of the world’s most recognisable FMCG brands, you are first and foremost an elite technical and creative hybrid.

Your primary day-to-day focus will be hands-on execution: delivering flawless DTP, parsing complex master files, and utilising your 3D capabilities (Cinema 4D and Blender) to model and render packaging and product assets.

In addition to your hands-on execution, you will step in to line-manage a small, relatively self-sufficient pod of DTP professionals. You will handle their 1-to-1s and career progression, acting as their technical mentor and escalation point, without micromanaging their daily output.

#Li-Remote

Responsibilities

Advanced DTP & File Preparation (Core Focus) * Act as the final gatekeeper for quality and technical accuracy, demonstrating an obsessive attention to detail across print execution (CMYK, spot colours, bleeds, and complex cutter guides).

  • Parse, strip down, and prepare highly complex packaging master files, ensuring they are optimised and structurally sound for adaptation by the wider teams.
  • Troubleshoot file structures and maintain strict adherence to global brand colour guidelines and naming conventions.

3D Modelling & Visualisation

Utilise Cinema 4D and Blender to create, light, and render photorealistic 3D models of packaging, products, and campaign environments.

  • Adapt and optimise existing 3D assets for localised markets and scale them seamlessly into 2D design layouts.
  • Stay current with 3D rendering techniques to continuously elevate the studio's in-house capabilities.

Design & Retouching

Adapt and roll out key visuals across a wide variety of FMCG touchpoints, ranging from large-scale OOH print to digital and social formats.

  • Execute high-quality retouching, colour grading, and compositing to seamlessly blend 3D renders with photography.
  • Translate conceptual briefs into polished, production-ready design files.

Team Management & Mentorship

  • Line manage a small, capable team of DTP professionals, taking responsibility for their regular 1-to-1s, performance reviews, and long-term career progression.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for technical DTP and 3D design queries within your pod.
  • Define, document, and enforce studio best practices for file management and workflows to keep the team running efficiently.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of highly hands-on experience in a Senior/Lead Design or DTP role within the FMCG sector (Food & Beverage packaging experience is highly preferred).
  • Languages: Fluent English is required. Ukrainian speaking is a strong bonus/advantage.
  • 2D & DTP Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. You must have a deep, technical understanding of print production processes, colour spaces, and cutter guides.
  • 3D Proficiency: Strong, proven working knowledge of Cinema 4D and Blender for product and packaging visualisation.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Prior experience mentoring, guiding, or managing junior/mid-weight designers. You are comfortable conducting 1-to-1s and managing performance while balancing your own heavy technical workload.
  • Soft Skills: Highly organised and methodical. You are an empathetic leader who can manage complex stakeholder requests and remain calm under tight deadlines.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating flawless DTP/layout execution, strong FMCG design adaptations, and photorealistic 3D product renders.

This is a fully remote role, but the person needs to be based in Serbia.
