Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our dynamic team, where you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations across shared services, managing revenue recognition, cash flow forecasting, and global tax and audit compliance. You will work with a variety of clients from different industries, including luxury, retail, travel, and technology, helping them to create engaging content that resonates with audiences around the world.

Responsibilities

Job Specification & Key Priorities

Reporting to the VP Finance, this role will oversee the financial operations across shared service and internal Teams, working closely with the wider Locaria Finance Team and Stagwell Head Office.  

The key roles and responsibilities are:

Revenue

This role will work oversee the Revenue function to ensure:

  • Ensure Revenue Recognition is fully managed through the system
  • Compliance with SOX on Revenue Recognition
  • Intercompany balances are aligned and recognized correctly and helping to resolve any out of balances in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the Revenue manager on all billing calls for Revenue Recognition
  • Work Closely with the AR Team to ensure that all aged debt is being collected and helping to facilitate resolution of issues with the team
  • Working with the Revenue Manager and Channel managers to ensure that all Contracts are correct and in place for both Direct and Indirect clients in line with SOX controls
  • Leading / participating in other key Revenue projects.

 

Cash Flow Forecasting

 

Implementing an accurate cash flow forecasting process across the Locaria group:

 

  • Working closely with the wider Locaria Finance Team to ensure understanding of key cash flow movements
  • Working with the Stagwell Treasury Team to provide bi weekly submissions of CF Forecast
  • Implementing actual cash flow vs forecast and analyzing variances  

Banking / HMRC Management

Manage bank accounts and HMRC for Locaria Group:

  • Manage user profiles of all users of our various bank accounts
  • Ensure that all Payments are reviewed and approved in a timely manner
  • Ensure the Finance Team have access to all CC statements to ensure accurate bookings in the P&L
  • Ensure the wider finance team are aware of all key HMRC submission deadlines such as Corporation Tax, VAT etc ensuring no penalties are incurred

 

Month End Reporting/monthly tasks

  • Work closely with the wider Finance team to support the monthend close process
  • Ensure that all monthend postings are done timely in line with the close calendar
  • Ensure that all monthend timelines are met are closed on time (WD3)
  • Co-ordinate monthend catch ups for the team at monthend to ensure any issues for monthend are discussed and help provided across the team where required
  • Help to co-ordinate the resolution of any issues that arise at the monthend
  • Bi weekly reviews with AR Team to review and track progress on aged debt

 

Audit & Statutory Reporting

  • Oversee external audits and statutory reporting across all entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements
  • Oversee audit-ready close processes, including reconciliations, documentation, and audit trail integrity
  • Maintain a strong financial control environment, ensuring consistent application and evidence of key controls
  • Act as escalation point for technical accounting and statutory reporting issues

Tax Management

Oversee the Tax Manager to ensure the organization meets all tax compliance obligations on time while optimizing tax efficiency in line with legislation and business strategy

  • Lead global tax strategy, compliance, and risk management across regions, ensuring accurate filings, regulatory alignment, and effective audit oversight
  • Provide strategic guidance to leadership on tax-efficient structures, business decisions, and new market expansion while monitoring regulatory changes
  • Drive operational excellence by optimizing processes, managing external partners, and collaborating cross-functionally to support reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Process and systems improvements

  • Assisting with finance system development and ongoing reviews to find efficiencies within current way of working, using Automation and AI tools
  • Review and update where necessary current excel models and forms of analysis

Leadership & Team Management

Lead and develop a high-performing finance team across Revenue, and Tax functions, ensuring clear objectives, accountability, and continuous development, while working closely with shared services teams to ensure that the day to day financial operations runs smoothly and efficiently.

Business partnering with commercial teams to support, pricing, margin analysis, profitability and decision support to help support the growth of the business and drive healthy EBITDA.

Required Skills

Requirements

  • Qualified finance professional CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CFA preferred
  • 7 yrs + of Financial Analysis & Accounting experience required
  • Experience with SOX preferred
  • Fluent English, ability to confidently communicate complex analysis to senior global stakeholders and exert influence
  • Proficient in financial modelling and financial analysis
  • Naturally curious, with the ability to ask the right questions and challenge the status quo
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience working in a client service industry, preferably language services or content production
  • Familiarity with Maconomy and/or One Stream preferred
  • Advanced Excel is preferred – intermediate knowledge essential. Must be able to handle large volumes of data from the accounts system and interpret this data in excel. Experience with Google Sheets also preferred
  • Experience working with remote international teams
  • Team player able to understand the bigger picture but also prepared to get into the detail to get the job done
  • Independent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and presentation skills
