Join the Locaria Academy Graduate Program in Cairo, Egypt, and kickstart your career. This six-month paid program is designed for motivated and ambitious graduates eager to gain hands-on experience, professional development, and a global perspective.

 

Join one of Locaria’s most dynamic departments, Operations, as an Operations Trainee and contribute to building a more responsible, efficient, and sustainable global organisation. This program is designed for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives while supporting core operational processes that support our international teams. 

 

At Locaria, ESG is managed within the Operations function. This means the role combines policy, sustainability initiatives, and operational coordination with the systems and reporting that help the business track progress and improve over time.

You will work with an international team supporting processes in Egypt, Spain,  Mexico, the UK, Ukraine, and remote locations worldwide. This role offers exposure to responsible business practices while developing a strong understanding of how global operations function within a growing international company.

 

Responsibilities

ESG & Sustainability:

  • Support ESG data collection, tracking, and reporting processes
  • Assist in implementing sustainability initiatives and internal ESG policies, helping ensure that Locaria’s practices align with evolving environmental and governance standards.
  • Support the development and maintenance of ESG-related documentation, including policies, procedures and internal guidance.
  • Contribute to awareness campaigns and employee engagement activities related to sustainability and responsible business practices. 
  • Monitor progress on ESG objectives and help maintain the trackers and reporting processes used to measure them. 

 

Operational Support:

  • Assist with documentation and process updates aligned with quality,governance and operational standards
  • Support general operational projects and cross-functional initiatives that improve how teams collaborate and work across regions.
  • Provide support to the Senior Operations Manager and the Operations Assistant with Cairo office management and administrative coordination
  • Help maintain internal operational documentation and ensure that processes remain clear, consistent, and accessible to teams across the organisation. 

 

Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Support the maintenance of operational and ESG reporting used to track progress across the business.
  • Work with internal systems and data sources to help organise and analyse information that supports operational decision-making.
  • Assist in maintaining dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools that help teams understand performance and progress on key initiatives. 
  • Working alongside Locaria’s data team, you may also support the exploration of operational data stored in our reporting platform to help improve internal reporting and visibility. 
  • Help identify opportunities to improve operational workflows and reduce manual processes where appropriate

  • Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to summarise information clearly and support the development of policies or procedures.
  • A genuine interest in ESG, sustainability and responsible business practices. 
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to work with structured information and data. 
  • Curiousity about how systems and processes work within an organisation. 
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks carefully and accurately. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues across different teams and regions. 

 

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Business, Economics, International Relations, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal English
  • Strong organisational and research skills
  • Comfortable working with structured data (for example, spreadsheets or reporting tools)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an international team environment

 

Nice To Have

  • Academic or practical exposure to ESG or sustainability topics
  • Experience working with data, reporting or analytical tools
  • Basic familiarity with SQL or querying data
  • Experience creating dashboards or data visualisations
  • Interest in process improvement or operational systems

You will need to be available to join in June 2026 when the programme begins. This role will be working Monday to Friday - 10 AM to 7 PM local time.

 

This is a paid graduate programme offering $350 USD gross per month.
